Norton Free Church of England Primary School is a homely and friendly school and these features have characterised education in Norton for over three centuries.
Over the years, pupils who have attended the school have had opportunities to gain much in education and friendship alongside human and spiritual worth. The school, with its wealth of colour and variety in delivering the requirements of a number of Education Acts, has led many children to be able to acquire life skills in literacy and numeracy, and also to form opinions and be able to make their own interpretations in artistic, cultural, historical, technological, scientific and traditional experiences.
The school is grateful to members of Norton History Group for their generous time and efforts in compiling and publishing this booklet. The author and school trust that those who read this booklet have their particular interest satisfied.
